Who created the world's first touchscreen device?

The world's first touchscreen device was invented in the 1960s and the scientist behind it was E.A. Johnson, who was a British citizen.

E.A. Johnson worked at the Royal Radar Establishment in Malvern, UK, where he developed a capacitive touch display for military use between 1965 and 1967. It is considered the first touch display in history.

E.A. Johnson was the first person to present the first concept of a touch screen for military and air traffic control.

On the other hand, when it comes to touch mobiles, many people mistakenly give credit to Apple or Samsung for it, which is not the case.

The world's first touchscreen mobile phone was made by IBM, which was named IBM Simon.

It was also a smartphone because it had calls, email, calendar and other applications. It was launched in 1994.
